My journey in advanced manufacturing began with a fascination for 3D printing that completely changed my career trajectory. Originally trained as an industrial designer, I discovered that this technology held such compelling potential that I pivoted to pursue a PhD at DTU, including a transformative research period at MIT, where I discovered my passion for pushing the boundaries of material processing and engineering. While the transition to technical engineering was demanding, my design background became an unexpected superpower, offering a unique perspective that continues to enrich my approach to technical challenges.

Over the past decade, I’ve evolved from hands-on research to strategic leadership roles, most recently as Director of Additive Manufacturing at Gränges Powder Metallurgy. There, I turned unused material into a valuable product line and built a state-of-the-art materials testing lab. Here I successfully qualified and launched two high-performance aluminium powders for additive manufacturing, and positioned the company as a key player in a highly competitive market. At AMEXCI, as Head of Technology, I helped major Swedish industries like SAAB and Electrolux implement new manufacturing technologies, while training hundreds of professionals. Through consulting work across different industries, I’ve helped companies navigate their transition to digital supply chains, solving critical procurement challenges and securing executive buy-in for strategic initiatives and investments. What drives me? Creating practical solutions that actually work, whether it’s launching new materials or optimizing supply chains. Throughout these roles, I’ve consistently focused on delivering measurable results through innovation and strategic planning.

I combine curiosity with structured thinking, always questioning the status quo while keeping focused on results. Years of bridging design and engineering have taught me to look at problems differently, finding opportunities where others might see obstacles. I believe in transparency, diverse perspectives, and making complex technical concepts accessible to everyone involved – from the production floor to the executive board. My approach centers on creating clear, actionable roadmaps that drive meaningful change, always ensuring that technical innovation aligns with business objectives. Whether managing research teams or leading transformation projects, I foster environments where collaboration and knowledge-sharing thrive.

I’m particularly drawn to sustainable technology solutions and their potential environmental impact. As our world grapples with resource depletion and waste management, I’m eager to apply my expertise in materials science and advanced manufacturing to create more sustainable solutions. I’m also fascinated by how emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence, are reshaping both our daily lives and business operations. Understanding and leveraging these transformative technologies for business and technology development has become a key focus of my research.

When I’m not tackling technical challenges, you’ll find me out in the garden, reading magical stories, or cooking elaborate meals for friends and family. I’m passionate about cold-water swimming and meditation, which help me maintain perspective and creativity. These activities remind me that sometimes the best solutions come when you step back and look at things from a different angle.
